Super Room City

If you were a fan of toy cars as a child, or if you are an adult collector, then the below images are a real treat. Each toy vehicle in the pictures is from the toy brand Matchbox, a brand that I loved even since childhood; I would always ask my mother to buy Matchbox vehicles for me whenever we would be at the toy store.

In this picture a bunch of the toys are placed on a Matchbox Service Center playset. I added non-Matchbox related items (such as the empty Pepsi bottle and the Coca Cola vanity plate) in the background to give a sense of realism to this mini city, as if they were advertisements. I also tried to create a scenario in this part of the city, where a police chase with a purple 1960's Pontiac Grand Prix ends with all emergency type vehicles taking part in apprehending the suspect driver.

The roof top area also functions as a service center:

Despite the commotion on the other side of the city, business carries on as usual as a police patrol cruises by, a taxi cab waits for a passenger, and a tanker truck delivers fuel to the nearby gas station.

Meanwhile at the gas station, a water pipe bursts and water leaks out of the car wash area, causing a minor flood. The fire department rushes to the scene via fire truck and helicopter, and the police keep an eye on the situation via the police boat.

All these events are perfectly captured at a standstill atop the clothing dresser in my room. Rare moments like these deserve to be portrayed in the most realistic manner possible, even under an unrealistic setting. More pictures of my cars coming soon!
